It can even promote dating violence and enhance sexual abuse of younger people.
The exoticism and fetishizing of female systems turns them into mere materials to be won and showcased. This is not to say that there are n’t some positive stereotypes of latina women, but the majority of portrayals in our mediascape leave out a whole community. This typecasting of latinas may reduce their ability by internalizing the graphic that society puts back of them.
